Crimson TidBit – Does Milk Provide Immunity to Cavities?

So, does milk really provide immunity to cavities?

When I was a kid and growing up, I drank a lot of milk. From my one self case study, my answer, would be an emphatic ‘no’.

Why do I say that?

Well, I had a mouthful of cavities. By the time I reached the age of 17, I could drink nearly a gallon of milk a day. When I got home from school, I’d chug a half gallon as soon as I got to the refrigerator (please don’t tell my Mom).

By the age of 18, incidentally, I had developed an allergy to milk.

Bummer – at least I thought so at the time.

Now, I’d like to provide a couple of the cases cited within “The Key To Ultimate Health”. There was:

“A study conducted at London Hospital finding that raw milk conferred immunity to dental caries. No Incidence of caries was found in forty children fed over a 3 1/2 year period on a diet that
was rich in refined carbohydrates, but in which the milk was raw.”

“…A study finding that body weights of rats fed pasteurized milk were about ten percent lower than those fed raw milk.”

These quotations were taken from the chapter entitled “Does Every Body Need Milk?” found on Page 198.

The “key” from the quotations is that the milk was “raw”. That is the type of milk that confers immunity to cavities.

As you can tell, I think rather highly of “The Key To Ultimate Health”. I know many people that have changed their dental (and eating) habits in a significant way after reading “The Key To Ultimate Health”. Their health is steadily improving as a result.
