Crimson TidBit - Thyroid Practical

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Dear Friend,

Today, we will look at some practical tips to dealing with thyroid
issues and medications. Here goes…

#1. Don’t let ANY Doctor tell you that how you feel doesn’t
matter as it relates to your thyroid medication.

#2. If your Doctor tells you not to pay any attention to how you
FEEL, get a new Doctor.

#3. Your body will tell you how you are responding to a given
thyroid medication.

In my case, following my Doctor’s instructions almost killed me.
He had me so hyper(thyroid) that I just about went to the moon. I
had to be given a shot of something to make my heart stop racing.

It was just awful.

When I questioned him about the type of thyroid he had prescribed
for me, he indicated that it was a synthetic thyroid medication
containing both T3 and T4, which by itself is just information
(neither good nor bad). You see, it all depends on what your body
needs.

T3 is used up over the course of a day, whereas T4 can build up.
That build up is what was causing my body major problems.

Currently, I take T3 only and function just great. It’s possible
that as I get the balance of the heavy metals out of my system, I
won’t need thyroid medication at all.

When I questioned my Doctor about that medication and the
stratospheric racing heart problem, he simply said, “there’s
nothing wrong with that thyroid medication, it’s perfectly fine.”

After I changed Doctors, I learned, about six months later, from a
very highly compensated Thyroid Doctor that that particular thyroid
medication was recalled. I didn’t wonder why.

Hope this TidBit is helpful to you or someone you care about.

Always feel free to forward The Crimson TidBit to your friends and
family. I love helping people.
