Ever had any Oregano Tea? It probably isn't your first choice for a tea. In fact, it might be in the category of acquired tastes. For me, it is in the category of extremely important natural products that have made a H-U-G-E difference in my life.
May I explain?
I suffered from a chronic and debilitating condition brought on by severe diarrhea (seemingly caused an egregious form of Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
My problem was chronic initially and then turned both chronic and acute, such that I was unable to digest a cracker successfully when I was at my worst in 2005.
Oregano Tea saved me from the added trauma and expense of going to the Emergency multiple times, trying to explain to bewildered hospital staff that I needed 4-6 liters of IV fluid (when I could hardly speak no less). Why were they so tough to convince? My blood pressure readings and vital signs seemed normal (it didn't strike them strange that I could not stand up on my own and that I was being wheeled around in a wheelchair).
Oregano Tea has interesting healing properties.
While this may be documented in a more scientific way somewhere, let me at least explain how Oregano Tea affected me. If I had a "situation" - those with particularly acute cases of IBS or Crohn's Disease will understand what I am refering to - I would drink the tea first, take a couple of charcoal capsules within about 1/2-hour and then go through the process of getting my digestion to settle down so that I could eat food again. This was typically a week long process in my case.
Without going into much detail, it involved something akin to the BRAT (Banana, Rice, Applesauce and Toast) diet to get moving again in a normal manner.
The Oregano Tea would get into my system quickly and not only stop the high speed low drag motility factor but seemed to reverse it. In other words, it seemed to return colonic fluid levels to normal within a very short period of time.
This one thing was a life saver for me. It enabled me to go to work and continue providing for my family while we slowly eliminated the true cause of all my trouble. If you know someone suffering with Crohn's Disease, IBS or Colitis - you might do them a huge favor by sharing this article with them.
As mentioned in a previous article, charcoal slows down your motility. Oregano Tea does something more that is crucial to the quick recovery of a "situation". By almost immediately stopping the hydro flow into the colon and 'perhaps' even reversing it, fluid is not lost and the body's electrolyte balance remains relatively normal.
And that has made all the difference.
Obviously, I am sharing from experience and if you are suffering from any
aforementioned illnesses, you should find a Doctor that can not only help you
cope, but can also identify the cause of your trouble. I am not a Doctor, so
consult a highly skilled Doctor knowledgeable in digestive disorder recovery.
However, oregano tea is a folk remedy for diarrhea and digestive problems
passed down for hundreds of years in my wife's home country of Albania.
